Bachelors degree in History with a Minor in Anthropology from American University, Washington DC. Graduated with a 3.51 GPA in 2009. Second Year Masters student at East Carolina University in the Maritime Studies Program with a 3.167 GPA.
Experience
I previously tutored for Facilitating Leadership in Youth (FlY) a non-profit organization in Washington DC that works with students from the Barry Farms community in Anacostia. With them I did one-on-one tutoring and mentoring. I've taken many history classes over the years, and maintained an interest in science. I have also taken creative writing courses. My verbal GRE score was 610, and my ACT score was 28, with an SAT score in the 1200-1300 range (honestly I last took it in middle school, but I still know the test format and how to study for it). I want to tutor because I enjoy it. I like helping others get better at subjects they may be struggling in. Tutors helped me in middle school and high school and I have come to find that I truly enjoy tutoring.
